Finished Seize Diamondbacks

I just finished my pair of Seize Diamondbacks last Saturday. I really enjoyed knitting them!

The yarn was Seacoast Handpainted Yarns in the Sunrise colourway. No pooling, the stripes just varied in width. Thanks for the pattern — it was a pleasure to knit: quick, easy to memorize, without getting boring.

Loving these……….

I finished.  They are sooooo comfortable.  I know I will be making another pair of these!!!  The colors are awesome.  My one concern is the difference in the color of the two skeins.  This is the first time I have used this type of yarn - maybe it is common.  But you will notice the lighter blue is more prevalent in one sock.  I don’t mind because they are socks but would be concerned if they were on the same garment.  But anyway ………….. here they are..   :)

I finished my pair of socks Sunday night, but haven’t gotten around to getting a photo of them until today.  Again, I cannot say how much I enjoyed working with this pattern and this yarn.  The pattern and the yarn were a perfect match.

One Down

I finished my first S.D. Whoo hoo!!!! It really is a quick knit. I would have finished mine sooner if my attention wasn’t so spread all over the place. The yarn is KnitPicks Bare that I dyed myself. Now if only I could finish my second Pomatomus!

One down, one to go

First, thanks to those who commented on my earlier post.  I appreciate all the good feedback.

Second, as of last night, I have finished one sock, and have started on the next one.  Here are two shots of the sock.  One is the back detail and the other shows the completed sock.

I am so not used to Wordpress that I am having a heck of a time posting and getting my pics to look right!  So this small one will have to do.

Here is the first sock so far!  I am loving this pattern it is really a quick knit (which I love when it comes to socks).  I am using Cherry Tree Hill in the Life’s a Beach Colorway.  I am working on the foot right now and I hope to have this sock done by the weekend so I can start the second one.  Love ‘em!

So far so good on these socks.  I started them last night, and am about done with the cuff.  I am using STR mediumweight yarn in Chapman Springs on size 1 circular needles.  My size 2 needles were busy with another project, but it seems to be working out okay.  I am only going to do two cuff repeats though.  I can already see myself making many other pairs of this sock, as the pattern is quick and easy.  Thanks for the great pattern.

OK! One down one to go!

I’m so excited I just can’t hide it……..I have one sock done and I’m on to my second!

Look here. You can see for yourself.

I swear I cannot get a good picture of the socks for you. I’m the worst in the photo department. If I get really close you can’t see the entire sock and if I catch the entire sock you can’t see the cables.

When I get the second sock completed maybe by then I will work something out.

I’m off to check out the other socks on this great KAL.

I have just started the gusset.  I love the colors (Jitterbug - Jewel) - it reminds me of coloring with my kids.  Even thought they are 21, 19 and 17 - the coloring book and crayons come out every summer when we are at camp - such great memories and even greater kids.

Knitting has helped distract me - we lost our beloved golden retriever Thursday.  He was almost 12 years old and has left a huge hole in all of our hearts.  We will mis you Hudson.

Moving right along…

I am actually further along that this picture indicates.  I have picked up my stitches and completed the heal turn and decreased to the point of knitting on the foot….

There is only one minor issue…   I may not have enough yarn!    Booooohooooo…..  I am getting nervous about that.  I have put in a request to the Vesper Sock yarn godess to see if she can whip up some more…..  Don’t know though –I have not heard back:(   Meanwhile, I’ll keep knitting even if it turns out to be a lonely sock.
