Knitting helps when sad things happen.

I have just started the gusset.  I love the colors (Jitterbug - Jewel) - it reminds me of coloring with my kids.  Even thought they are 21, 19 and 17 - the coloring book and crayons come out every summer when we are at camp - such great memories and even greater kids.

Knitting has helped distract me - we lost our beloved golden retriever Thursday.  He was almost 12 years old and has left a huge hole in all of our hearts.  We will mis you Hudson.

  1. I’m soooo sorry for your loss. Truly, pets are family members and it hurts. Glad the knitting helps……….(the sock is gorgeous)

  2. I am so sorry for your loss. My heart is with you as I truly understand the loss of a pet that has been with you for many years.
I’m knitting my socks in JitterBug (see my post)as well. I really like this yarn. Since I’ve seen your beautiful socks I now feel the need of ordering the Jewel colorway.
